CHAMPIONS: Wendron u14's celebrate winning the Alliance League Picture: JACK PROWSE

WENDRON u14's 4 ILLOGAN u14's 0 Having finished equal on points with Illogan, Wendron United u14's faced a tense final play-off at Bickland Park to see who would be crowned u14's Alliance League Champions.

Early exchanges were fairly even but it was Wendron who quickly settled and took control once they had got used to the size of the pitch.

A combination of slick passing and accurate finishing saw Wendron go in at half-time three goals to the good, with finishes from Jowan Shainberg, Dan Greet and David Hilliard.

Wendron dominated for most of the second with only a fantastic display from the Illogan keeper keeping the score respectable. Wendron eventually got a fourth goal midway through the second period, Nick Moss went off on one of his customary runs and let fly from just outside the box to clinch the title.
