Cup triumph icing on the cake for Wendron
 |
| TOP DOGS: Wendron u13s pictured after their cup success against St Ives Town |
Wendron Youth FC u13s have had another successful season which has seen them finish second in their league and a place in the Alliance League for next season.
On top of that in the final of the under 13 Barclay League Cup with St Ives on April 27. We have also gained a few unhappy young players from other clubs this season, so we must be doing something right, but haven't ourselves lost any to other clubs.
As manager, I would like to congratulate all players for their commitment, dedication and efforts this season, and for the support of family and friends. More than this, however, thanks should be given to both Rob Bassett and John Clarke for giving their time freely in assisting me in coaching the team to such a high standard, enabling the team to do so well.
My final thank you goes to John Burtenshaw of Southwest Garage Doors, our sponsor, and the father of Jack, one of the four original players from Gweek.
